    Dell and Lightning strike

Got a dell dimension 4800 that aparently was hit by lightning strike. It was plugged into a surge protector. When turning it on it does have power, the fan runs and the 2 dvd drives flash and I can hear the hard drive turn on. There is nothing going to the moniter ,it stays off and black. THe yellow power light stays and but I dont appear to see the hd light flashing during boot. I thought might be onboard video card but tryed 2 other video cards and nothing. Dont even get a bios screen. There is a green light on the main board that stays on also.

If you have a spare power supply you could try it with that. TBH, it's much more likely to be a dead mobo and possibly, but less likely, the CPU. The symptoms are fairly classic for motherboard failure
