my email is hacked what to do now

now i have some one telling that my email have hacked because he is receiving all kind of email .
what this have to do with me any way .
i do not receive any email like he get .
mail email [window mail]work perfecly .
he is telling to change my pass word .etc.etc .
is he right or what ..
to me if some hacked my email i be the one receiving all that email crap .

What e-mail provider do you use?

If you use a webmail provider, it is possible, but it is even more likely that someone is sending spam with your e-mail address as the sender. The e-mail header info from the e-mails he is receiving might be able to verify that.

Is that in your get Help and support?

You should need to enter the old password and the new password twice.

cant not change my pass word at all .
so tuesday i will call my provider and set a new email account .
