Re:Noise in Laptop
Hello all, have a HP G60 Laptop, had it for approx 3 or so years, no real problems, only usual software, but, softwares running ok.
Have a continous sound, not so much a noise, like a hum, I think its the Fan, because of the sound, hope this makes sense. It seems to be getting alittle warmer, when on the knee, good for winter lol, could it be the fan???
If so, could you give me a link to a good enough fan, and how to replace it. Have done some replacement etc in Desktops, but, not on a Laptop.
Thanks for any help, Gep

It may just need a good clean out rather than a replacement. When the fan blades get very dirty the noise increases and efficiency decreases, as in this case. And laptops are notorious for dragging dust and fluff in, especially if you ever use it in bed, etc.

Re:Noise
Hello Supersparks, I find using the Laptop in Bed, gets in the way of other things, lol.
Thanks Supersparks, will look inside with trepidation, Gep
P.S. The Advert for Windows Azure free trial, on the Right does not close so easily, have to click exactly on the small x, Gep

You would need to get the replacement HP part. It's not a one-size-fits-all kind of deal.
Did you try cleaning it out with compressed air?
