    Shudder count, my bad. It just might be a Pentax thing.

    Have to see if mine shows up.

    100,000 is a lot of pictures!!

    D-40 is the only one that has that.

    I don't know about point and shoot cameras. My experience is for DSLRs. I would think the P&S cameras would let you see as well.

    Nikon NEF [raw] is needed or no reading.

    Like about anything, some fail right out of the box, others just keep going. And that varies by brand and model. Nice to be informed about shutter life!

    Yep, I knew that RAW format was used by most EXIF readers. But I shoot RAW, Pentax DNG or PEF.

    I do not know of one that will read jpgs.
