    Hi All, ............. After reinstalling Windows 7 on one of the partitions, I now can get past that Compaq screen and my daughter is happy with the results. She now can get to the contents in the other partitions.

    To me the results are not exactly the way I want the computer set up but this is a different problem which I wont go into here. To All who took the time to offer suggestions, my daughter and I thank you very much.
