    Resolved [RESOLVED] Emailed pictures

I am using IE9 and Windows 7 Home. For several weeks now I have received emails and pics are not shown. To help me see the pics, I use the forward feature(without forwarding it) just so I can see the pic. What may be happening? As always, TIA

Any number of things may be happening. Your antivirus or antimalware software may be blocking them. An IE9 setting may be blocking them. IE9 may be having issues. My experience is that IE9 is not yet ready for prime time. You did not say what e-mail service you are using, so it is possible that there may be a setting on that service that is blocking them also.

buf--Are these emails all coming from one sender? Are the emails sent as attachments or embedded?
As jdc2000 has requested we need to know your email program and ideally that of the sender. Do you know that Windows Live Mail by default sends images to Skydrive and not with the message? So your PC has to be able to retrieve the image from the cloud!!
And you seem to imply that this has started to happen only recently. A System Restore perhaps?

Thanks to both of you for your insightful answers. I use the free hotmail carrier and I have not tried to recall those from whom I receive such mails without the pic being shown. This in not such a problem for me; other than the additional time taken if I care to see what the pic may be-and I am a curious person.
I think I'll just continue doing what I am doing, largely because I have done nothing to cause this problem ( I am very capable, however ) Thanks again.

Only came back to report that one of those senders that may cause my problem is also a hotmail user. Surely I have sent him like emails but he has not complained to me. I am now going to find one such email and send to him with a PS asking for a response.
