[RESOLVED] is this an issue with new Asus monitor ??

I plugged in a new Asus monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236112)
and see some options greyed out on the monitor panel like sharpness, ascr, saturation, skin tone etc... (img attached)
Other than that, monitor seems to be fine.
Secondly, the hdmi cable skews the display. I tried 4 different cables with the same results. The dvi cable works fine. (img attached).

Both these issues are happening with my older Asus monitor also which I did not notice earlier. The older monitor does let me lower the sharpness which I wanted to do with the new one also which led to all these investigations.

Called Asus tech support twice and all they could say is exchanged the monitor. I was willing to record the screen and email them for support but obviously they don't care.

I dont think this is monitor issue but something I am unaware of..
