    Apple Cuts iPad Orders

    Apple shares dipped nearly 3 percent in early trading on Monday after an analyst said the iPhone maker is cutting orders from suppliers of parts for its iPad tablet.

    JPMorgan Chase said in the research note that several suppliers indicated in the past two weeks that Apple lowered fourth-quarter iPad orders by 25 percent.
    Has the tablet market reached saturation point with all the cheaper tablets? Any connection to Steve Jobs resigning as CEO? Is Apple looking for new suppliers? Are they clearing the marketplace for the iPad3?

    We may never know with Apple's code of secrecy as it is, but stock holders clearly are spooked.

    Stockholders get spooked if the CEO sneezes - they think he may have Ebola or something. For all we know Apple may be getting ready to release an updated version. I don't think we have to worry about Apple products being outdone on a technology level just yet.

    I dunno....

    Apple has never done this before. But I am not sure it is just an Apple thing either. I think the market is approaching saturation with Amazon coming out soon. Maybe people are finally realizing it is more important to feed their kids, than upgrade their mobile tech every 6 months. We are still in the worst world-wide economy since the great depression.

    I was watching CNN the other day. They were doing a story about a job fair. There were hundreds of people in line and in the interviews we find out that many have not worked in over a year and also had stories about difficulty feeding their families and paying bills. Yet, when the camera pulled back to pan the crowd.....most of the people had smart phones and iPads, chatting away, playing games and texting. I guess I am getting old....I didn't understand that.....LOL
