    Display changes on it's own

    Under Control Panel/Appearances and personalization/Display

Every so often it changes on it's own from smaller/default to medium setting and I have to change it back. This is a new pc we just put together a few weeks ago and it has happened twice already. Any ideas as to why it changes on it's own? No games have been installed on the pc yet and all we do on here is go on the web to a few web sites and play the games that come with win 7. Thanks in advance.

Did you install the video drivers?

I have had the same problem with Windows 7. If you have automatic updates turned on, M$ may helpfully update your video card driver, and that can cause the problem.

It's a new PC and everything was installed and nothing new was added to it. And yes we have auto updates on.

You may want to set your update settings to notify you but not download or install any updates automatically. That will give you the chance to see what updates Micro$oft thinks you need before they are installed. Also, make a not of what the last thing was that you were doing before the change happens. Finally, be careful of using the mouse scroll wheel with the control key held down.
