    Resolved [RESOLVED] Hotmail Signin

I use windows 7, IE 9 and hotmail for my email client. Is there a way to delete a name in the drop down area of the sign in for Hotmail. I used a throw away to sign in to my hotmail account in error and I would like to remove that signin and have just my valid signin showing. As usual, TIA.

buf--Try using the down arrow when the drop down menu is showing. Each name in the menu should be sequentially selected (highlighted). When you reach the name you do not want, click Delete.

I tried every way I could think of trying to remove that unwanted signin name. It will not go away. And there is no drop down arrow. It is not causing a problem; I would prefer it delete.

If you go to the Tools>Internet Options>General tab, and click on Delete under "Browsing History", you can delete your passwords. AFAIK that is the only way of getting rid of the sign-in name.

And there is no drop down arrow
I said "And there is no down arrow". I meant the one on your keyboard.

Same thing happens Jim. Your continued interest is appreciated. This truly causes me no trouble but it is something that I think should be easily deleted but not so.

I tried what your reply suggested Nick and in fact, did it 2 times without any success. I will quit concerning myself with this. Of course, your exercise did delete my saved password here and a few other places.

That's very strange. It certainly removed my name the last time I cleared the passwords on mine

An added "problem", my reward for deleting my passwords, I now have to sign in time I visit our forum. Yep, I check mark the "remember me". And I have to hit the refresh icon quiet often when going from one window to another.

If you delete the cookie it should cure the having to sign in every time issue - that's quite a common problem.
