recommended spyware/malware blocking programs
Is there a recommended spyware/malware blocking programs list/sticky?
I use, SUPERAntiSpyware Pro, Malwarebytes, and Kaspersky Internet Security 2011. But now here (heard it here) that SUPERAntiSpyware is not what it was. And was just wondering what the current best programs are.
Thanks
Rod

Those 2 are still my go to programs. There is nothing wrong with using the manual scanners from both. I would NOT recommend running them both in real-time together.
I would also say if I was cleaning a known infected box, I'd add a Hitman Pro 30 day trial (which is free) to the manual scanner list.
From Hitman Pro's website:
Hitman Pro offers you a Free Scan for a second opinion. It is designed to check if your security measures work. If nothing is found (and we sincerely hope so), then you will never need a license. When a virus is found, then you will receive a free 30-day license to remove the threat.

Have a look at this current thread..

for some ideas.
Superantispyware is still a good program but it isn't one of the main scanners we use to remove malware from infected computers any longer. It seems more useful in prevention.
