    DVDRW issues

    HP Pavilion DV6000 with vista. Lost all operations with dvd unit cant even reinstall drivers. Pretty sure it's toast but need to be sure before I buy a replacement. Any suggestions to make sure for good?

    Thanks for your reply...I have tried all that stuff already. Looks like it goes to the recycler for a new one.
