Deleted File Folder
I have tried a free file recovery app but did not succeed in retrieving my deleted email file. Anyone have any experience with using such software successfully that you care to tell me about. I will appreciate it and as usual, TIA.
PS. I was using the windows 7 machine when this happened.

In a perfect world you would stop using your pc immediatly when you delete a file or folder... To make it even more perfect you'd slave the drive to another pc to try and recover the lost file.
A couple of temp internet files written to the same spot on the hard drive could ruin your chances of retreival. Installing recovery software could do the same damage...
Listing the apps you've tried so far would be a good idea... The following app is popular:
Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!

If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Steve, I tried Recuva but somehow was not successful.
Nick, it was a throw away addy made available by mail.com. I rarely use it but there are occasions for use of it. Fortunately, the emails were not that important; only to me but still, their loss is no big deal and I can live without them.
Thank both of you for your interest.
