U-tube asking to install latest flash player(?)

I reformatted my friend's HDD and re-installed XP from scratch. Works great except he called me a couple das later and said he can't watc u-tube videos. When he clicks on them it tells him he needs to load the latest Flash player. I told him I thought I loaded the latest Flash player before I gave it to him. I had him pull up Control Panel \ Add/Del programs, and it should Flash player already installed (latest version, whatever that was).

Any suggestions?

Try reinstalling the latest Flash over top of itself or uninstalling then reinstalling.

We tried re-installing over the existing version the other day and there was no improvement.
Let me have him try the un-install tool, then re-install and see if that does it.

Which browser? There are separate Flash installs for IE and non-IE browsers.

BTW, there is probably going to be another update next week.
