Constant updating problem
Windows XP Home SP2
For some odd reason Windows downloads updates every single time I power off my computer! This has been happening for 2 weeks straight. Every single time I try to turn it off it waits for 10 minutes while downloading the same 4 updates. What is happening?

Find the Windows\System32\Catroot2 folder and send it to the Recycle Bin. Then try Windows Update again, it should create a new folder and hopefully work properly.

Thank you
I found the folder and deleted it's contents. There were 2 sub folders within it. Did not delete CatRoot2. Kind of hesitant when it comes to deleting things in Windows.
Rad Update and it install the 4 programs. Did try Turn Off yet. Will keep you informed of the results.
Thanks again.
