Cable modem to Blu-ray player
I just purchased an LB BD570 Blu-Ray Player. Also subscribes to Netflix. Connect the two using a wireless router my landlord owns. He gave me the ok, but now he wants me off it because his connection blogs down whenever I stream videos.
So I decided to order a Service Electric Cable TV High Speed Cable Modem just to stream from Netflix. I may order other services eventually too.
This shouldn't be a problem right? I mean...their Cable Modem should simply connect directly to my BD Player via a Lan. Then I can add to my Queue using my computer that connects using my landlord's Wireless, and stream the Netflix videos using my new Cable Modem.
Am I right? Thanks.

It would be best you also picked up a router w/ wifi , to go along with the cable modem. This way you can connect the BD player via ethernet cable to the router and also connect via wifi with your pc. No more dealing with the landlord. Freedom at a price.
