web pages not full size
i have posted this before and could not get resolved so i just downloaded a maximizer to make my pages open full but would like to get the correct fix. i have tried all the suggestions from here and on google(drag corners opne new pages and close down in certain order i have internet explorer set to open maximized nothing seems to work). if i type an url it opens fine but if i use a shortcut to any website they open half if i use quicklaunch they open half, followed advice from microsoft to reset ie nothing changes
i know this is a windows 7 problem because i dual boot with vista and they work fine there, i use ie9 on vista so i downloaded 9 on my 7 and still the same problems, microsoft had me right click all icons and change the target destination on each one still same thing then they told me to reinstall 7 which i dont want to do searching google , microsoft and bing tell me a lot of folks have this problem, surely there is a fix for this

The following works for me
"Open a browser window. Now open a second as a New Window. (In other words do not close the first window.) Size the second window as you want it. Now close the first window. Finally, close the second window. (Some people say to hold down Shift or Control when you do, but I have never found this to make a difference.)
Now the next time you open a browser window it should open to the size you chose in the above."
