[RESOLVED] Dell Service Tag
Hi,
I use a Dell utility called SM_INFO.EXE in my logon script to extract the Dell Service Tag and write it to a text file. SM_INFO.EXE does not work on 64bit machines. Does anyone know of a way to extract the Dell Service Tag on 64bit machines?
Thanks!
TB
The only barrier to knowledge is the perception that you already have it.

Shinma, Excellent!! That is precisely what I am looking for. I don't believe this.....I contacted Dell directly with the same question. All they could tell me is they don't have a utility like SM_Info for 64bit. Oh well.....
Thanks for your links too, Welshjim.

You're welcome.
Not surprising that the Dell personnel would not know.
Those who answer the phone are rarely techs...
Cheers.
