Windows Vista Won't Start
I have a Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit computer that will not load into Windows. It keeps coming back to the "Start Windows Normally or Repair Your Computer screen." One of the Windows system file needed to boot into Windows must have got corrupted.
I put the hard drive into another machine and I can see all of the data including the Recovery Partition so the hard drive itself appears to be fine. Is there anyway to copy a folder or file from the Recovery Partition to fix this without deleting all of the data?
There is no way that I know of to do an over the top repair like you were able to do with Windows XP.
