Shut down and stayed down
Benq sw32 was powering off at will untill it finally powered down full time.
THe light on the on switch is blue as it should. The fan works.
The battery charge light works.
Nothing else.
Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H AM3 motherboard
16 GIG Ram,
AMD FX 8350, 8 core
2 x 1gig sata 3 ,,
1 X 24" wide screen moniter ,
2 x 17' secondary moniters
1 x 21" secondary moniter
Corsair Power
Corsair Hydro cooler H 60
1 x blueray burners
Windows 8.1 x 64 Professional
Professional DOS dummy.

I could not find any details on a Benq sw32, however, the first thing to check would be the power supply or battery. YOu could try it on the AC adapter only.

BenQ makes laptops? I thought they only made monitors and projectors.

It is about 4 years old. s32 not sw32.
Even without the battery it does not power up.
MB maybe?

Some laptops won't power up without a good battery installed.

Battery is ok.
There is only info on the Joybook in that article.

If you have a multimeter, check the DC voltage coming out of the power adapter plug. And if possible, measure the DC voltage at the battery terminals (some are hard to get meter probes in, so you may not be able to).

It is a sw32. Power supply is ok.
I must start thinking MB or worse.

Yes, if there is definitely power from the adapter, and the battery contains some charge, then motherboard failure is the most likely cause

In the S series, the only model numbers with a 32 in them are S32 and S32W:
