    Bios update?

    I built my computer years ago and never have updated bios. The main board is XFX MI-A78S-8209 Ver1.1 and the bios is

    64-0100-000001-00101111-060608-ATHLON64-C780A330. Is this something I should do and I have looked on the XFX web site and AMI site but cant find what I need. Plus if I could get some info on how to go about this it would be helpful. I have windows 7 on the hd right now.

    Are you having issues on the machine that would be fixed with a BIOS update?

    If not - I wouldn't bother with the update. One wrong step could kill the mobo.

    The majority of BIOS updates require a floppy drive. Do you have one of those?

    Nope no issues. And no floppy either. Guess if its not broke dont fix it right.
