cable connection good can't download???
I have the Motorolla sb4100 cable modem and the sohoware 10/100 ethernet nic model#SFA110A. When I was first setting up the modem, I had problems making connection with ISP. <Turned out to be bad terminations on my coax cable>. Now I connect fine. I can browse the web with good speed <ping times normal, no lost packets>. The only problem is "I can't download". I've tried downloading windows updates, Zone Alarm, and many other files with no luck. Each time, after choosing save to disk, I get the percentage download box. but the progress meter remains at 0. No transfer rate. Can anyone help??? I have restored all settings, and even did a fresh install of 98se. Still no luck.

Zen, this could be a browser problem. Try a download manager such as GetIt http://www.webattack.com/freeware/do...r/fwdown.shtml
or try a repair of the browser if you have IE. For that: start>programs>accessories>system tools> system information>tools>internet explorer repair tool
