    CD/DVD drive label

    Is there anyway to change the CD/DVD drive label in widows ME?
    The current label is Compact Disk and I would like it to be DVDRW.

    Try the following...Go to a DOS prompt and type the following:

    X: Label DVDRW

    Replace the X with the correct drive letter.
    If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

    Thanks, but it didn't work. I get a can't rename a network drive error.
