19 inch LCD with scan lines...
So I've got this Acer LCD that's a bit over a year old and it's developed scan lines, a slow roll from bottom to top. Running Win 7, dual monitor setup... 1440 x 900 resolution for the Acer in question.
Swapped which port it's using off the vid card ... swapped out the cable ... tried a different d-sub to DVI adapter blah blah blah. Thus, it strikes me that it's the monitor with the issue as opposed to the video card. The second monitor runs fine and dandy using either DVI port.
Misery is just looking for a little company and verification of my thoughts and ruminations. tia ~ Paul

What's the screen refresh rate set to on this monitor?
Have you tried the monitor on a different computer?

Hi Photolady ... it's set at 60 hertz being an LCD. And that was my next step... still a mind reader I see! I'll let you know in a moment if it does any good.

Btw, Hardware Acceleration used to cause these problems also. Might check that too and lower it a bit to see if it helps.

I'll check that and the swap to a different computer yields mixed results... scan lines are still there, just diminished a bit. Not as noticeable but still there... Tried rolling back drivers on the video card and monitor to no avail so still seems like it's the monitor.

Yep, it does sound like the monitor is going out. I never liked Acer, monitors or computers.
