emm386 error when using PB Recovery Disk
My friend has been having probs with JS_seeker and "choke worm" and wants to just format and start over, but when he puts the PB recovery CD in, powers down and boots up the process stops with :
EMM386 has detected error ?? in application memory address [not sure of the address#]. To minimize the chance of data loss, EMM386 has halted your computer. For more information, see the Readme.txt file. To restart you computer, press Enter.
I'm unsure of the ?? ,he said he thought it was #10 .
What can he do to enable him to format the C: and start over? fdisk /mbr ? any switches to add to a format command?
Thanks ,

Hi,
try format c: /u
The /u means Unconditional. Make sure to sys c: after formatting
