Resolved [RESOLVED] Looking for recommendations: inexpensive wireless keyboard with built-in mouse

    Hoping someone can help.

I've done searches and came up empty-handed. (or over-priced)

I'm looking for an all-in-one keyboard device with a built-in mouse/trackball (or whatever you want to call it). Wireless is not absolutely necessary, but highly preferred.

Any part #'s, links, etc, would be greeatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I am not a fan of wireless keyboards and mice. However, if you really want one, I suggest you visit NewEgg.com and look at the reviews for them to see if you can find one that meets your needs.

The ones I have tried have all had various faults:

    1. They eat batteries like you owned a Duracell factory.

    2. A delay between when you released the Shift key and when the release action actually was effective. You wound up with WORds LIKe THIs in your documents.

    3. They kept dropping the signals even with the receiver 2 inches from the transmitter, with new batteries.

I don't want a wireless keyboard/mouse either, because I don't like to be interrupted by empty batteries. I lose my concentration each time. I don't like any noise either. I spend most of my life in my head.

Yep, definitely #2 and #3. I am using the wireless rocketfish mouse for years. That is about the only wireless item I have and the router of course. My friend used the rocketfish keyboard and he likes it but I am not a big fan of wireless keyboard as you mentioned.

I saw this one on the link and bought it last week:
IOGEAR 2.4GHz Multimedia Keyboard with Laser Trackball and Scroll Wheel GKM561R Wireless Keyboard

and really like it so far. Very good reviews and reasonable cost. For my purpose the sired KB & mouse were just not an option.

    Thanks! dneilson

    GREAT suggestion!
