Ahead of you there. I tried the Repair option, but it fixed the files without touching the Registry - no joy. The drive's only 4 months old, and it is free of problems. I ended up reinstalling Windows and am installing the appropriate drivers as we speak.

Great that it is progressing well.. I must get the worst side of the PC world in my workshop...

Sometimes a clean reinstall is just the best way. I'm glad you're up and running again
