[RESOLVED] boot problems
hope i can explain this right
i am dual booting vista and 7 on 2 sata drives, this morning cranked up pc, it got to where it started to tell me to boot from cd hit enter just as usual, then it just stalled and wont move, the up and down arrows will not work, i have it set as 7 to boot as the default so it finally boots to 7, in 7 the keyboard arrows work fine.
went into msconfig and changed the boot order so vista would be default and rebooted, the screen came up saying files were messed up(not those same words) and to insert cd for repair the arrows wont work and startup normally is highlited so while i went for cd ir did slowly start up and now keyboard works but after several atempts i still cant select which operating sysyem i wont to use without going in to msconfig boot and changing the default any help will be appreciated

Run Win 7 Startup Repair, and it will take care of Vista too. Hopefully it will fix this problem.
For future reference, any time that you need to do anything to the boot files, always use the tools from the latest OS installed, and they will deal with any previous versions too.

If you can't get into the BIOS setup, then you have a hardware problem. Windows problems would not cause that, since Windows is not even loaded yet. What type of keyboard are you using - PS/2 or USB?
