Resolved [RESOLVED] How to send Pics from email to Altell cell phone?

I have researched this for the last 2 days and can't find the answer anywhere on the Internet. I send text messages and photos to family member's cell phones using my Windows Mail email account, so I know it can be done. My problem is that I have a sister in-law in Texas that has an Altell account with her cell phone and for the life of me I can't find out how to send a photo to her cell. She does not have a computer or the Internet or I would just email pics to her. Everyone in my family has either ATT&T or Verizon except for her. I know there is a difference in the cell phone address from when you want to send plain text versus from when you want to send a photo. For example when I want to send my granddaughter a plain text message, I send it [email protected], but when I want to send her a photo, I send it [email protected]. So I know I can not send my sister in-law a photo using her plain cell address. Since Altell merged with Verizon, I wonder if I could send pics using Verizon's MMS address (vzwpix.com).

Does anyone know if Altell allows pics to be sent to their customer's cell phones? If so, what address do you use to send them with?

It will be a while before I can get back here to read everyone's answer because we are about to have another thunder storm here (happens almost daily now).
    Thanks,
    Sheila

Train: I had gone to Alltel's web site several times before without finding my answer. But I clicked on those links you listed just in case somewhere on those pages my question was answered. Everything I could find concerning on how to send a picture only told you how to send a photo from your cell phone--not from your computer email program. The only time email was mentioned was only if your cell phone had email (which mine does not). I tried to click on that link in hopes that it would at least show you what type of address you would be using to send the photos, but every time I clicked their link all it did was take me to a page that wanted to either sell me a cell phone or wanted me to sign in if I was their customer. So I could not get any information from that source. The only thing else I could find concerning photos, was a site they have where you (Alltel customers) could upload your photos to a site and share your photos with other people. Even if I were an Alltel customer it still would not do me any good because my sister in-law does not have Internet access. So the only way she is going to get a photo from me is if I can send them to her on her cell phone from my computer email program. She lives hundreds of miles from me and we have not seen her in 8 years and it would be nice to be able to send her a family photo once in a while.

The one good thing that did come out of those links was that I was finally able to find a link to customer service. I had tried to find it before when I was looking, but all I could ever get was FAQs when I tried to contact customer service. So I just now filled out customer services' form with my question and sent it off. I don't expect to hear from them until at least tomorrow. I will let everyone know what they reply back to me in case anyone else has the same problem that I am having.
    Thanks for the sites,
    Sheila

Talking Got the Answer & It Works!

    Everyone interested in this problem:

I just received an email from Alltel and they told me what to do. I tried it and it worked! I had tried this before, but did not do one other step. This is what they said:

You can send that picture via email to (10digitmobiel number)@mms.alltel.net and attach a file to send to other Alltel customers as an MMS. Files may be no larger than 1MB and must be one of the following file types: .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .midi, .mid, .mpeg, .x-mpg, .mp3, .txt, .3gpp, .3g2, .mp4
I had tried different type addresses to send a photo to my sister in-law, including the one they have listed--mms.alltel.net The only thing I did not think to try was to attach the photo instead of inserting it into the email body itself. With other cell providers I have always just inserted the photo into the body--but that does not work with Alltel.

Hope this helps someone else if they are having this same problem.
