    System restore not working

PC has win 7 premium, x64.
I tried a system restore and it go through the motions ok but when finished it says, cannot do system restore, click here to do unrestore. Which doesnt work either.
I have tried a few earler resore points for the same result.
Also tried for the disc for same result, cannot restore.
    Any fix fo this.
I want to restore a deleted user account is why. Is there another way to get the accont back?

Try system restore from safe mode.
However, system restore deals with Windows files only, so if you're counting on recovering some personal data, it won't happen.

And try running the System File Checker too. There is quite often something wrong with Windows when Sys Restore consistently fails like that. Go to Start and type "cmd" without the quotes, then right-click cmd.exe and choose "Run as Administrator". Once at the Command Prompt, type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes. You may need your Windows 7 disc, though most of the time you don't.
