Apple Quick Time for Windoze?
Anyone have any opinions/experience with it?
Said "Aww,,what the h*ll and downloaded it.(over 9Megs)It wanted to install from the net, but i chose the stand alone version.
Seems to work ok, but also seems to have taken over "all" my graphics apps. Have a few movie clips that are still controlled by my ATI software, but that's about all it hasn't assimilated.
Got it at www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Whad'ya think?

Hi snarfl,
In a nutshell...I hate it. However it is a necessary evil in my case. Many of my games and graphics programs require it be installed for them to function. As file-association theft, I think just about every player/viewer will try to do this. You should be able to go back into your other players/viewers and re-associate your file types. If not, there is always the highlight/shift-key/right-click/open with method to change the file associations back.

Thanks for the input so far guys. Maxx, i mainly loaded it 'cause some AVI apps. kept telling me they needed it to open them.
Guess i should have done a' re-association for them huh? Oh well, i'm about to tear this machine down and install an IBM 40Gig Deskstar drive next week. So, gon'na do a clean install of Windows anyway.
Thanks again for your views!
