    Win 2K and LotusWorks 3.0

I know that Win 2K has good backward compatibility, but is this older version of LotusWork compatible with Winows 2000 pro. Or is it just to old? My son-in-law gave me the software-it's new(on floppies)-never been opened-with the manuals and everything. I'm thinking about trying to install it. Thanks.
The true test of character is not how much we
know how to do, but how we behave when we don't know what to do

I happened to be googling about Lotusworks and happened across this ancient post. In case you are still curious, the answer is yes. I use Windows 2k and run Lotusworks 1.0 as my main program. Back in the mid 90's I purchased Lotusworks 3.0 hoping for something better. But I found it inferior in most ways to Lotusworks 1.0. I ran a website with information about both versions until Geocities shut down their free hosting last October.

I have run the Lotusworks 1.0 on a Windows XP machine as well. I also have had contact with several people who still use it. The biggest problem was it would appear in only the top half of the screen. But the fix which I passed on was to window the program and click on the window properties icon (upper left corner) and select properties. Under the Options tab set the Buffer Size to 25. Click on Layout and set the height to 25 in both the Screen Buffer Size and the Window Size boxes.

If you're still interested I can give some help. I and some other have found it more useful the the Microsoft Office programs. Lotusworks 1.0 had a very basic word processor. The 3.0 had graphic fonts that you could use which were fine if you were into fancy printing. But that was about the only improvement I found.
