Touchpad problem
I have an Asus laptop. Each time I use the touchpad and as soon as the curson is on an icon, it launches a program, each time the cursor is on a file, the file opens, without clicking. What's to be done to avoid that?
Thank you for any good information.

You'll find a setting for that, though it may be well hidden. Have a look in Control Panel under Mouse first of all, and see if they are in there.

Thanks for the hint. I had already checked that, then had to ask cause I didn't see the smallest clue. What a nuisance!

Unfortunately all manufacturers seem to hide the settings in different places If there is nothing under "Mouse", see if there is a specific touchpad item either in Control Panel or in the Start Menu.
