[RESOLVED] Gmail Not Working
For the last 2 days I cannot access Gmail. All I see is the message "Information is temporarily unavailable". I have 3 computers. I get this same message on all 3 computers. I need to access my Gmail as I have important business to conduct. I have cleared cache in IE - didn't help. Google is not a small operation. I would think that if they have a problem where users can't access email they would jump right on it and fix it. Not let it stay down for days on end.
Anyone else in or near PA seeing this?

I am in the Midwest and it's fine here.
Can you PING Gmail? Here is a how to to ping http://www.wikihow.com/Ping-an-IP-Address After you type ping and the space, type
www.gmail.com
and hit enter. If it works, you should get back 4 replies from 74.125.95.17. It that is what you get, then at least you know you are able to reach gmail but something else is preventing it from running correctly. If you can't reach 74.125.95.17, then something is blocking it.

rwinegar--About two-three weeks ago I had trouble accessing my Gmail. I tried several different addresses. The only thing that allowed me in was to click Refresh after being denied. Even then, things like trying to delete Spam would produce an error message. However, things seem OK here now.

FINALLY!! I fixed it several days ago. I just wanted a few days to play with it to be 100% sure it is fixed. I deleted the Google Finance Portfolio gadget. Google mail now opens in the blink of an eye. If anyone else experiences a similar problem with Gmail not loading and producing the same error message, start deleting gadgets until you find the culprit.
