    M$ tricks

I'd like to find my pointer fast. Both microsoft.com and Help and Support instruct me to open Start>Settings>Control Panel>Mouse and then Pointer Options tab.
But there is no such tab! (Windows XP 5.1, SP3). Tab Pointers does not have pointer visibility option.
    End of story?

Approx how long does it currently take you to find your mouse

You need to install the MS Intellipoint drivers in order to see that tab. The built-in default driver does not have it.

I'd like to share with you some recently discovered phenomenon: immediately upon starting Windows, a small information box announced that Windows Explorer "encountered a problem and has to close". I search the Net and the M$ website for solutions, wasted a lot of time.
Then I suddenly remembered that it happened after a Googly icon appeared at the bottom of my screen, next to Start button. I have a small Google address bar (it takes less than a quarter of the total length of the screen). Anyway, I uninstalled Google icon. Windows Explorer "recovered" immediately!
I am impressed: does M$ monitors all Windows in the world? Windows is much older that Google, so it did not have Google-recognition SW, apparently, it was surreptitiously installed later! Is it legal?
