Train, thanks. I did find that file but I just wonder why the Windows' search did not stop by itself after it searched the whole hard drive. It continued and then give me more entries on same file in the same folder. i.e. I saw n entries of the log-date.txt in the same folder if I let it keep running.

I uninstall the original anti-virus suite, McAfee Internet Security which always pops up verify subscription notice. Computer still freezes quite randomly, sometimes few hours work, sometimes just 10 - 15 min. Sometimes I opened a lot application, IE, FFox, Word, Excel, no problem; sometimes even a simple application or even a command.

Unfortunately, the CPU and mobo does not have any sensor or detection on temp. I ran PC Wizard which gives me false reading, RealTemp which says CPU is not supported (P4 3G). I don't want to take out the CPU heat sink as this Dell has quite a different config. The heat sink is a large one and the fan is attached to the back of the case and blows air outside (not on top of the heat sink). There is a plastic cover covering the heat sink to the fan forming a air passage to draw the air passing the heat sink and flow out of the case. The heat sink is free of dust, the fan spins smoothly, the only thing I don't know is the condition of heat sink compound underneath.

If it has a video card, does it have a fan?

Have you removed the front bezel and cleaned behind it?

I have found plugged up filters behind the Bezel.

Those missing sensors where common on the older computers.
