    Scrolling message across desktop(s)

I fully understand if this needs to be moved. I just had no idea where to post this.

I'ld like to set up 2 monitors side by side (this part I know how to do) and then have a message scroll across both monitors.

Any ideas/suggestions on how or if this can be accomplished? You help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Depending on exactly what you want to, there is a screen saver that might work. Do you want the same message on each monitor (duplicates), a different message on each monitor, or one message that scrolls (readably) across both monitors?

The 3rd one you mentioned--one message that readably scrols across both monitors, would be my best sloution.

Free is always good but reasonably priced 3rd party software is also possible.

    Thanks for responding.

Try the Marquee screen saver, it should do what you want.

I tried it, but it doesn't have the flexibility I need.

    Are there any other possibilities?

    Thanks,

What sort of flexibility are you looking for? More details on exactly what you want to do and what options you need would be helpful.

I wanted the message to scroll across 2 monitors.

Font height about 3 to 4 inches in height.

The message can be at least 50 characters in length.

The built-in Marquee screen saver has those functions. The only limitation is the font height, which may be dependent on the screen resolution you choose. With my monitors set to 1680 x 1050, the letters are slightly over 1 inch in height. You might get bigger text with a lower resolution setting. How good that might look would depend on your monitors' specs.

You could check out the links below for an alternative:
