    Stack Overflow

I recently did the March Windows updates. Now almost everytime I access a news story at CNN website I get the following error "stack overflow at line:0". I have 3 computers. This happens only on one of my computers and only on CNN.com. I have latest version of Java. I ran Clary utilities and CCleaner. I cleared Java cache. The error persists. I do not want to disable script debugging. That only hides the error. It does not fix it. Any ideas? Please don't suggest changing browser.

    Windows XP SP3 - IE8

Contact CNN and ask them to fix their code

Personally - I always disable script debugging.

Well at least we are 50% in agreement. I emailed CNN about a possible code error before I posted here. But if it is a CNN code error, I should be seeing it on all 3 of my computers, not just on one.

Are there any ads on the CNN site and do you maybe have different ad blocking software. Maybe its only ceratin ads causing the error. Why would you NOT want to block it?

I too believe it might be an add.

I do not have any ad blocking software other than IE8 popup blocker and IE 8restricted sites. Can you recommend a good one? Would such a program be smart enough to determine the difference between a bothersome ad and a necessary popup?

I use Simple Adblock for IE. http://simple-adblock.com/ It installs easily and allows you to selectively unblock ads for single pages or entire domains if you wish. It only runs when IE runs so it's PC resource friendly.
