Epson NX 515 3 in 1 printer
I bought an Epson NX 515 3 in 1 printer and installed the cartages that
came with the printer. The black cartage in the ink monitor shows over
1/2 gone in less then 50 pages. Are these cartages that come with
the printer FULL cartages or do I have a ink hog of a printer. Otherwise
it is a great printer and easy to set up the wireless.

Check your Print preference settings.
My C88+ is set for txt, but does color work just fine.

I just checked printing preferences. My is set for text. My question is
are the print cartages that come with the computer full cartages? or
so called starter cartages?

AFAIK Epson provides full cartridges for all their printers.
Wish I could get 50 prints from a half cartridge on any printer I've ever owned (assuming 8.5x11 prints). If you are doing monochrome text printing, get a laser. It will pay for itself in savings in less than a ream of paper.

My question still is are the cartridge with the printer full or part full. I don't find 50 pages much at all since the black cartridge is supposed to give 240 pages
at 5% use. Their real high capacity cartridge is rated at 900 pages.

AFAIK Epson provides full cartridges for all their printers. But I repeat myself.

You'll find that all Epson printers ship with full cartridges. Having said that, you'll also find that even though the cartridge looks almost empty after lots of printing, it takes a lot more for the cartridges to run out.

Remember also that the number of pages quoted are at 5% coverage for text. You can see an example of what 5% looks like here:

Thanks for the 5 % info. Very Interesting.
