[RESOLVED] Fix a distorted MP4 playback file
Hi All,
We got an MP4 file with a video presentation for work.
The playback starts, runs thru and sound is fine. But the picture quality is distorted, there are all kinds of vertical (reddish) lines in every frame.
Is that something fixable or is the file garbage?
Thanks
KGG

What player are you using? Sounds like you are using WMP and don't have the proper codecs.
Try VLC or Media Player Classic Home Cinema instead.

I would be sorry too if I was still running WMP.
Both of the apps I mentioned are free, so you might as well try 'em.

Thanks Everyone. D/L VLC on my work laptop and the Mp4 runs just fine now.
Just curious - is there a fix or updated codecs package for WMP 10 around? All links I found so far are a few years old.
