Antivirus vs internet security. Is there a difference?
Using XP and AVG for the moment.
I go to a website to get information regarding an antivirus software and I find the company has one that is called antivirus and another called internet security? I had no idea there is a difference and have no idea which is better for me.
I use my computer primarily for work. I google search throughout the day. I read google news. I read sports illustrated. I read articles that sound interesting. I check stock prices and the like. I receive and send lots of email. I do not visit sites where folks have no clothes on.
What do I need, the antivirus software or internet security software?

I define internet security packages as something that includes a firewall (and the things a firewall can bring such as spam control, HIPS and so forth.) An antivirus package is just that and occasionally includes anti-spyware.

Oppssss... forgot the 2nd part. You don't need an internet security suite because you can piece together a pretty secure setup with out one. But a suite is much simpler to install and maintain as it's all integrated.
