Trying to rescue unfinalised DVDs
Before my old DVD recorder finally died, it started refusing to finalise some discs that I had recorded. I've been playing around with various things, and have managed to extract the files from a disc using IsoBuster Pro. However, what I've ended up with is being rejected by Nero, and I'm not quite sure what to do with them now. This is what I've ended up with:

Any ideas, good Drs?
Nick.

WinAVI might be able to salvage things.

Basically, what you care are VOB files.
ConvertXtoDvd will burn those.

OK, after a bit of messing about, off and on, I've got the VOB files extracted, and because I don't want to spend any money on this, I've found this nice freeware program here which will open them:
http://www.any-video-converter.com/p...or_video_free/
The next question is, what is the best output format to convert the VOB files to? Watching the output on a PC is not a problem, I'm really just after two programs that I would be annoyed at not being able to see.

Save both to .avi and archeive them.
But to watch on a stand alone, they would need to be in VOBs before burning .

Which you can do using Nero Vision Express. It also allows you to join the VOBs and to chapter the video before burning...
Stupid question? No such thing!

OK, thanks guys, I'll try .avi.
I haven't been having a lot of luck with Nero so far, but I'll give it another go if I need to.
