Epson NX515 Printer
I am considering buying an epson NX 515 wireless 3 in 1 printer. It is
on sale for $69.99 until 2/06/2010. Is this a decent printer? Is wireless
easy to set up? Will this printer accept off-brand ink cartages?
All info is welcome.

I use Epson and always have. But if you do this:
"Will this printer accept off-brand ink cartages?" it will eventually stop working. You must use Epson brand cartridges for your printer to perform flawlessly for years. Off brand cartridges will clog the heads and it won't print any more.
Having said that, what type of printing do you do?
The last Epson printer I setup for wireless operation went so smoothly, I thought, WOW that was easy.

Is this a decent printer?
At that price it is a terrific value. Obviously, that feature set at that price means it is not made to Rolls Royce standards. Reliability should be adequate for personal use but not much more.
I've never had much luck with scanners on a network, wired or wireless. However, there doesn't seem much point to a scanner/copier on a network. You have to go to the device to load the material to be scanned. If you have problems with this unit, USB connect to the most used computer and use that for scanning and copying. You can network connect to other computer(s) for printing.
I second Photolady's comment re third party inks.

I linked you to the downloads and the pdf making ability is in the scanner software.
I recommend switching to the profession mode when you do any scanning though.

The software is included with the printer, according to Epson. Where are you buying this printer?
Here's a link to Overview: Scroll toward the bottom and it tells you about the software included/bundled.

Within the last few months, I have set up 2 NX-51x printers. They have both performed well so far. Another friend is running an NX-410 printer on a Mac and he has issues. But he is no computer person and for all I know, he may not have it set correctly...
