There is no way to individually whitelist a program, unfortunately. But it sounds as if you may have your UAC settings too fierce. Go to Control Panel>User Accounts>Change User Account control settings, and set the slider to second from the top, which is the default setting.
I set mine to the bottom, haven't been bothered by it since. And "good riddance" I say!
Of course the "security" posse will get their pantaloons in a twist but I'll take that chance.
