Safari browser
I downloaded and installed the Apple Safari browser for windows. So far I'm not impressed with it. Firefox is still faster, in fact IE 8 is better. Has anybody else try Safari?

Safari has not found much of a fan base among Windows users. It really hasn't brought much to the table that others don't do better. Plus, Apple has been sneaky about downloading it onto PCs by way of the Apple updater bundled with iTunes. Overall, not good!

I tried it briefly too. It didn't do anything for me either. Neither did Chrome. I still like Firefox better than any of the others, in conjunction with IE8 for those sites that don't render well in FF.

Agree. Much noise about it, not too impressed myself.
Opera and Firefox head and shoulders above the rest (Chrome third)
Theres others far worse though, than Safari.
Maxthon which at one time looked very VERY good when it was IE2 and the first couple of years as Maxthon, is now atrocious. As is Sliepnir (despite the Norse God name, its Japanese - its claim to fame was you got Roboform free in it - no longer)

After giving Safari a good try I uninstalled it. It's slow on a Windows 7. I hope it runs better on Apple machines, or those mac users will be looking for an alternative.
