Vista - try right click and choose run as administrator.

But...don't have Vista on any of these...is there a way to run as Admin. on XP?

What codec do you have installed?

Train...I have XP Codec-Pack 2.5.0 installed on this comp.
Do the video cards have anything to do with this? The only comp that will play this western movie dvd has an older AGP card.
This comp has on-board graphics.

Okay...the comp that will play the dvd has K-Lite Codec-Pack 3.6.5
I will try that pack on this comp and see...
gotta go pick up my granddaughter from pre-k school...be back later...maybe this other codec pack will work...
