Cannot share my printer
I have two computers setup on a network using a router, Windows 7 is the os on both.
I have a homegroup setup and sharing folders and a printer with the computer number 2.
It was working fine then number 2 crashed and I had to reinstall the operating system.
Now I am using the homegroup and and connecting to the internet and sharing files on both.
But having trouble using the printer (which is setup for sharing) on computer 2.
If I look into Devices and Printers on 2 my printer is not shown.
So I went to: Add a network printer, there is a search which finds my printer.
Then the message: Checking for Windows Update, after a while the message:Windows cant find a driver.
I am nearly sure when I set this up before the crash I received the same message but Windows found the update.
I would like help on what to do next.
Thanks
wallie

The printer should have come with a driver CD, or you should be able to download the driver from the manufacturer's web site.

Some printers, when you start the install, at some point it will ask if the physical printer is a network printer. I answer yes and the programs goes and finds it. Just have to be patient is all.
