    Resolved [RESOLVED] Autoplay stopped working

Any ideas how I can get autoplay to work again whenever I insert a USB device, CD or DVD. It worked the other day.

I already have each USB device set in properties to the default to open the list of programs.

I just ran http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en for each USB device and it's still not poping up with the list.

The PC does see each device.

Microsoft's "AutoPlay Repair Wizard" scans your computer devices to find defective AutoPlay settings, and attempts to fix those it finds:Note that there are other factors that can prevent the AutoPlay functionality for a CD/DVD drive (such as the installation of CD/DVD burning software). See KB330135 for additional information:

I just noticed I need to run the fix more than once to correct the problem.
Once to fix the Current user policy and 2nd to fix the Local computer policy.
Currently doing step 2 for each. The 1st USB drives is now ok and the autoplay display works. I'll do the rest now....thx

It is important to remember that there is a serious downside to Autorun. Personally, I never have it enabled on one of my PCs.
