    Try a little test:
    1. Using your mouse, highlight any word (or group of words) in this message and then either press [Ctrl]+[C] or click Edit>Copy on your browser's menu.

    2. Click the Windows "Start" button, type in clipbrd and press [Enter] (or click OK).
What you highlighted and copied should be showing in the ClipBook/Clipboard Viewer.

Let us know if it worked or not ...

When you highlight and copy a URL, you have to be sure you don't accidentally copy more than the URL itself. It's actually easier, in Internet Explorer, to right-click the URL and then select "Copy Shortcut". In Firefox, right-click and select "Copy Link Location".

You should now be able to click once in the Address Bar, in either browser, and press [Ctrl+V] to paste in what you just copied, (or click Edit>Paste).

I do not open notepad, I highlight what I want, Ctrl+C then single click where I want to put it, then use Ctrl+V.
It is then pasted where I want it to be.

    Example:
elseif I do'nt close notepad I can normally paste the text

On an XP system, if you open Wordpad and Notepad, and type some text into Notepad, then press Control-A to select all of it, then press Control-C to copy it, then close Notepad without saving the text, you should still be able to select Wordpad and press Control-V and get the text to paste into Wordpad. If this doesn't work on your XP system, you have a problem with the Clipboard functionality.
