    Free Copy of Win 7

Attend the free event, take home Windows 7
    http://www.microsoft.com/business/th...s/default.aspx

These type of events are generally pretty cool..Sometimes they're a bit boring.

Many times you get the free goodies at the registration booth..and turn around and go back to work.

Click the "See all live launch events" link to see a City near you.

It was geared more to the folks that do coding of programs, rather than an overview of the features of Windows 7. And the copy they gave out, is only the 32 bit DVD in the package.

I signed up for the one in September 2010 in Papua New Guinea....but for some reason I think that may have been a fake registration site.

Now that has me worried....something wrong in the 64-bit version that M$ doesn't want to reveal to these coders?

The KeyCode you were given will work on 64bit Ultimate-Retail....You just have to borrow a dvd or reuse one you might have.

I went yesterday to the IT Pros sessions.....A lot was way over my head...Can only imagine what the Developers session was like...

Yes, I agree, the key should work fine for 64 bits. But according to MS we are not eligible to get the 64 bit dvd from them since it was provided thru a promo. I do not mind paying minor costs to ship the alternate media. Right now I am downloading a torrent of Win 7 Ultimate .. slow as a snail. Just hope it is a clean image file.

Microsoft finally sent the 64 Bit DVD to Launch Event attendees.
